There isn’t much more I can say about New York than WOW! After wanting to go there for years and years, we finally made it up there and it did not disappoint! Steve’s ears may be bleeding from the road trip sing-a-long but a four hour drive there and six hour drive back left me a little bored and in need of my own entertainment.
Before I visit a place, I always imagine how it will look. Most of the time, my imagination runs wild and I get it wrong (like Vegas!) but this time, I did not. NY was every thing I imagined it would be and more. We managed to see quite a bit in the couple of days we were there, with plenty more to see the next time head up there.
On Saturday, we walked from Brooklyn, over the Brooklyn Bridge to Washington Square Park and up 5th Avenue to Times Square and the Flatiron building before we took Broadway and 6th Avenue up to Central Park. Sunday involved less walking and more ubers to Wall Street, Tribeca and the World Trade Memorial before we had a late lunch/early dinner and headed for home.
It was pretty windy and cold on the Saturday which resulted in me having super red eyes. You can see it in a couple of the below pics…eyedrops just didn’t help!
Have you been to New York? What do you love about the city?
And now a photo dump of our time in NY
