Last year, I set the challenge to create a skin care routine that included morning and night. I successfully implemented my cleansing/toning/moisturising routine with the addition of a weekly mask and there has not been one day that I have skipped. The benefits were so obvious to my skin, that if I forgot the night time routine, I’d hop out of bed when I remembered because the habit had been set.
I had gone from occasionally leaving makeup on, to never leaving it on for bed time and this both helped my eyes stop itching all the time and made my skin soft from the moisturiser.
The issue was, however, that I was using normal supermarket products that I had researched very little in to. Apart from reading the rating from various beauty review websites, the research I did was minimal. The products I used gave great results but the urge to use natural products on my face won and so the research began in to what I could use that would benefit my skin, be all natural and not be too expensive.
The search led me to the brand MooGoo (by recommendation from Ash of Miss Directions) and once I’d read some of the information from the website and some reviews, I ordered a few products. From their website:
“MooGoo was first made when the founder adapted a cream used in dairy farms to help a family member with a skin problem. The dairy version of “udder cream” was designed to heal the cow’s udders and keep them in good condition for milking. It was full of skin repair ingredients and no gimmicks.”– you can read more here.
The website is full of products that target problem skin as well as products for those who just require ‘regular’ products and there is a breakdown of the ingredients that are present in each product, as well as the purpose of that ingredient. I haven’t seen this on any other products website and I think the transparency is a wonderful way for consumers to make better informed decisions.
The products I purchased are:
MooGoo Skin Milk Udder Cream | $11.90
MooGoo Milk Wash | $17.50
MooGoo 100% Certified Organic Rose Hip oil | $12.00
I am particularly excited to try the rosehip oil after the many great reviews I’ve read recently that speak highly of the benefits of including it in your skin care regime (I’ll do a post on that another day). I’ll report back on the outcomes of using MooGoo after a month or so.
